Lesson #14

Conviction, Confession, Commitment

    Salvation is based upon ones acceptance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and deals especially with the conviction of ones sins by the convicting powers of the Holy Spirit in drawing one towards God. Confession of ones belief and faith in Gods provision for salvation, Jesus Christ, brings one into God's family. Commitment to Jesus Christ and His ways is evidence of entrance into that Godly realm.


    Are you aware of these happenings in your life since your heard the gospel message?

    Focus:

    Read: : John 16:7-11 The Holy Spirit reproves sin. Convicts the sinner of his sin.

      II Corinthians 7:10 True repentance works unto salvation.

      Psalms 145:18 God is close to them that call upon Him in truth.


      The Holy Spirit and our own selves act together to convict us of our own sin and of our sincere desire to repent and turn to God. True conviction leads to God and His salvation.

      Hebrews 11:6 Confess who God is and what He can do.

      Romans 10:9-13 Confess and believe

      Acts 8:37 Believe with your heart.

      Matthew 10:32-33 Confess Jesus before men.


      Confession of Jesus as Lord and Savior brings salvation tot he true believer. Have you confessed Jesus as your Savior and Lord? ___________ Before men? ___________

    Read:

      I John 5:1-5 Born of God to love and obey, true commitment.

      Matthew 10:37-39 A committed follower of Jesus Christ

      Mark 8:34 Deny self and follow Christ.


      The evidence of our commitment to Jesus Christ is to bear the cross and follow after Him in love and obedience.
