Every person who has genuinely received, by faith, Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord, instantly is forever born into God's family. God is not a liar. Nor is the Holy Spirit an "Indian giver." Eternal life, once given, can never be taken away. A new name is written down in glory for every new child of God.
